Reva M. Brown emigrated to the United Stated from Jamaica, West Indies when she was 7 years old. Her family settled in the Bronx, New York, where she thrived academically and became an honor student by the 7th grade. She later attended the Bronx High School of Science, and from there attended Cornell University, from which, although not the usual pre-law route,
she obtained a B.A. in psychology. She
then attended Northeastern University of Law, from which she received a J.D. degree. As an attorney, Ms. Brown has many years of experience both in the private sector as well as in the public arena, as an Assistant Corporation Counsel, and later as an Administrative Law Judge. She is now developing her own private practice, in Florida, with a long-held holistic vision of practicing law in a more harmonious and beneficial way for the highest good of all concerned.
